There is no specific position in life that can make you happy.
If you reach your goals, get a bigger house, or buy a new car, you’ll find that those things get old quick.
Stuff does not equate to happiness.
Happiness is a choice! Therefore, you must choose happiness. If you find yourself struggling to be happy, then decide that you are going to do it anyway.
There is a duality of being and becoming. You can be happy now while you develop deeper satisfaction and progress for later. Meaning, you can find joy in achieving your goals, while operating in an active state of joyfulness.
I’m not an expert on the Bible, but it does leave some clues on how to find balance in happiness during the great duality of being and becoming.
The Apostol Paul conveys in Philippians 4:8, ” Finally brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable, if anything is excellent or praiseworthy, think about such things, and the God of peace will be with you.”
You can evoke a paradigm shift in your thinking process and adopt the Apostol Paul’s philosophy that conveys finding more noteworthy things to focus on can shift your state of being from a less desirable one to one that is happy and joyful.
Choose happiness, it’s a decision that only you can make.
