Take a brief moment to be awake–and quiet at the same time. There is internal storytelling going on.
The American Psychology Association was right in saying… the narratives we create about our lives directly influence our future.
Too often, though, we set up ourselves up for failure because of the stories we tell ourselves. Those stories stem from our childhood and beyond.
Even if you’ve done a lot of work to build up your conscious mind to believe you’re good enough, your subconscious mind may not be so convinced.
The hard work is digging in deeper than usual on the conscious work–to find what the subconscious mind really believes.
Often times, it’s not till you get into a situation that requires you to act in confidence, on the spot, that you realize there is more work to be done.
Sometimes in life, you can get so desperate. You can grow so tired of being broken that you make some critical decisions.
Those decisions could include giving up television to study.
They could also include making a conscious effort to change the internal storytelling that is reeking havoc in your life.
